Horseback is a great way to explore France's coast and countryside, and there are horse riding centres close to several Siblu holiday villages, with La Pignade lucky enough to have its own centre on site. Here are some of our guests' favourites:

• Domaine de Litteau, in Normandy, is 15 minutes from the well respected Haras de Louveaux horse riding centre 
• Les Pierres Couchées in Loire Atlantique is home to Les Ecuries de St Brévin, an equestrian centre for guests with all levels of experience. Riders can follow the many woodland trails or head to the beach
• Le Bois Masson and Le Bois Dormant are much-loved holiday villages in the Vendée are only a few minutes from the fantastic horse clubs of Saint-Jean-de-Monts
• La Carabasse in Languedoc is close to Ranch Fumat, which offers horseback treks along the Canal du Midi
• At Lac des Rêves, in Languedoc, horse and pony rides are available at the fabulous Saint Pierre horse riding centre, just 15 minutes from the park, and at Abrivado Ranch at Grau du Roi, just 35 minutes drive 
• Les Rives de Condrieu in the Rhône Alps is a great choice for active families, and the De Condrieu horse riding centre is just 10 minutes away
